and Christine Dove would like to extend a warm welcome to their home
at Le Vieux Monastère (the Old Monastery). “When
we discovered Le Vieux Monastere in its spectacular location we knew
at once that it was ideal for creating a perfect holiday
environment.” 2012 will be our 9th
season and we are once again looking forward to welcoming guests
both old and new to experience an unforgettable holiday.
We
are always delighted to see this excitement shared by our guests
when they arrive at Le Vieux Monastère as they realise immediately
that they are about to have a holiday to remember. Surrounded by
vineyards and sunflower fields we have created an intimate group of
seven exceptional self-catering holiday cottages which are ideally
located between La Rochelle, Ile de Re and Cognac and are
conveniently situated for the facilities of the historic towns of
Saintes and St Jean d’Angely.

We
know you will be delighted as you are shown to your cottage which
has been designed to combine the luxuries of home with the charm and
character of this historic location. All cottages are equipped to an
exceptional standard and include dishwasher, washing machine,
hairdryer, satellite TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and WiFi. Linen and
towels are provided. Beach towels can be hired. All cottages have a private patio area or

 You
will feel at home as soon as you arrive, and while you are enjoying
a well deserved drink the children will be off to the swimming pool or games
room and making new friends.
The
grounds at Le Vieux Monastère are mainly laid to lawn and provide a
particularly safe and secure environment for children, allowing
parents the freedom to relax and enjoy our tranquil location and
facilities. Facilities include a heated swimming pool, large sun
terrace, children's play area and games room. The pool is heated to
28 degrees from May to October making us an ideal choice for early
